Simpson Bay, January 19, 2015 - WINAIR provided support facilities to Bombardier International last week when their aircraft a Global Express requiredglobalexpress repairs to its windshield. WINAIR provided hanger space to enable Bombardier International personnel to repair the windshield on the aircraft. By providing these services to third parties WINAIR the National Carrier of St. Maarten demonstrates it's abilities to assist industry colleagues who requires these type of services. This builds valuable relationships, revenues by offering our services to third parties.

November 6, 2014, Simpson Bay - WINAIR, has honored the request of the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) to sponsor the reigning Teen Carnival Queen D'Shnay York.

The sponsorship is in the form of round-trip airfare for D'Shnay and her team members to St. Kitts next month where she will compete in the prestigious Haynes Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant as part of St. Kitts Carnival festivities.D'Shnay paid a courtesy visit to WINAIR on Thursday and was welcomed by CEO Micheal Cleaver and Director of Marketing & Sales, Claudio Buncamper. Both executives wished D'Shnay the best of luck in the pageant and expressed that the company was proud to support St. Maarten's Teen Carnival Queen.

WINAIR has been a dedicated partner of St. Maarten's Carnival for years by sponsoring prizes and do its part to increase the event's exposure by having the official calendar of events available on its aircraft.

October 14, 2014,Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten:Due to the passing of Hurricane Gonzalo, WINAIR flew its aircraft to St. Lucia for safety reasons.

Aircraft are expected to return to St. Maarten by 11.00AM weather permitting today. Aircraft will have to do their daily maintenance inspections and should be ready for commercial flights by 1PM

October 13, 2014, Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten: Due to the passing of Tropical Storm Gonzalo, WINAIR would like to inform all customers that all flights have been cancelled until tomorrow 12PM.

As per safety of our aircrafts, Winair will fly our aircraft to St. Lucia until tomorrow and return in the morning once weather permitting.

As per safety of our employees, please note that the Winair offices will close at 12PM including the airport terminal staff. Staff will report to work at 8AM tomorrow morning weather permitting.

StaffSitaTrainingSeptember 9, 2014, Simpson Bay - WINAIR is upgrading its Computer Systems in October/November of 2014, WINAIR currently uses Travel Port System for reservations, customer check in and operations. WINAIR will have 11 personnel throughout October at SITA headquarters receiving training on the SITA system. Upon return to SXM they will train our SXM and outer island agencies. With the use of SITA Computer Systems, WINAIR will be able to enhance our services in all locations and departments both in and outside of SXM.
This new system affords WINAIR a more robust system keeping up with changing airline industry norms, provide many enhancements vs. what is available from current provider. The SITA system is more user friendly and will shorten training times for new employees. ”This investment in software and our personnel will pay dividends to WINAIR both in short and long term and improve our ability to serve our customers moving forward in the ever changing environment of aviation” stated Michael Cleaver President and CEO of WINAIR.
